We had an awesome time being part of Norwich Fashion Weeks first ever ‘Hair Show’ We decided to enter the Cut and colour category to showcase our work on five models that we chose ourselves. Barry put the collection together and his inspiration came from the two camps of Rita Ora and Cheryl Cole.
To get the whole look to come together we asked Louise Lace a fantastic local Fashion Stylist to help us style the clothes for our models.ย This is what she had to say about her brief:
“I love when my clients allow me to get creative and take ideas from just a thought all the way to reality, for example styling for the Barry Alan hair shoot & catwalkย show back in March this year, for Norwich Fashion Week.ย Working toward the brief that Barry had supplied, these are some of theย โwordsโ that led me to make my clothing & style choices:
- Rebellious
- Modern
- Exposed
- Stylish
- Femininity
My aim was to create 5 looks that mirrored our captive words. 5 differentย models with very different yet bold, strong, beautiful looks. Almost taking theย looks through the years, creating outfits that replicated 50โs, 80โs, 90โs & 00โsย encapsulating the empowerment of women.
Proudlock & Harry Norwich, kindly supplied the outfits and allowed me freeย reign to style from their collection, known for its beautiful lingerie – I wanted toย give our outfits a twist, a creative swirl! Underwear worn as outerwear, a boldย statement when it hits the catwalk. The WOW factor.
Being on this journey with the Barry Alan team has been truly amazing, working alongside like minded creatives that strive for the same goals.”
